PLANS COMPLETED FOR NOVEL CRUISE OF ‘ANSHE EMETH’

The motors have been oiled and the huge “pistons” placed in position for the start of the mock “Mediterranean Cruise” of the Temple Anshe Emeth, which takes place next Wednesday night  at the Temple auditorium on Livingston Ave.

For weeks preparations for the cruise have been going on, with the good ship “SS Anshe Emeth” moored at port, awaiting the night for sailing.  Meanwhile, decorations have been going up to transform the large auditorium into a ship scene, including portholes, lounging rooms, bar, dance pavilion and other familiar ship features.

“Captain” Alfred H. Davis has been busy arranging his lively program of entertainment to be featured during the cruise.  His program has been so arranged that when the boat “docks” at the various ports of call, music dances and songs popular at these ports will be presented.  Stops will be made in England, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Palestine.

Announcement has been made that music during the cruise will be furnished by the Hotel Woodrow Wilson orchestra.

Mrs. Joseph Nathan is chairman of the cruise and Mrs. Alfred H. Davis is co-chairman.  The ticket sale is being conducted by Mrs. Jesse Strauss, assisted by Mrs. Barnett Bank.

STATE ROOMS -  If you’re not satisfied with your room, see the Chief Engineer.  She can probably accommodate you in the Coal Bunkers.  Usually they are more comfortable than the staterooms anyway.

GIGOLOS – There are quite a lot of them on board this cruise.  We recommend you make their acquaintance, and we’ll be please to introduce you to them.  We get a cut of their profits.

SHOES – Will be cleaned if left outside your stateroom, after which they will be stolen.  We are not responsible.

PORT HOLES – Don’t jump out of them.  There’s an easier way to end it all – Ask the Doctor.  For two bucks he’ll do anything.

PALESTINE – Upon arrival at Palestine you will be “Taken for a ride” – What a ride – Be sure  and visit all the shops, and buy plenty.  The more you spend the more we make.  It’s the     commission we figure on.
