“Scrip” is another name for the very same gift cards you are already familiar with. You can buy these cards from many retail outlets—OR, you can buy them through the Temple. When you buy these cards through the Temple, Anshe Emeth will benefit.
Here’s how: the Temple purchases gift cards at a discount. You buy the cards at their face value, just as you always do. When you buy the cards through the Temple, Anshe Emeth keeps the discounted difference. The discount Anshe Emeth receives is anywhere from 4-20%. Without spending any more money than you would normally spend at your favorite stores, you can help support the many programs which we run.
If you're going to spend $100 at ShopRite, buy a gift card through the Temple. You spend $100 and the Temple makes $4. If you're going to spend $100 at Lands End and buy a gift card through the Temple for this purchase, the Temple makes $17. Different stores offer different discounts; these are just some examples.
