Join us as we continue the tradition of regular Talmud study at Anshe Emeth! This year, we will explore Masechet Berachot, the first tractate of the Talmud. Masechet Berachot discusses the halakhic intricacies of blessings and prayers, including the Shema, the Amidah, and the Torah Blessings. Of course, we can count on our sages to make fascinating digressions: stories of healings and heroics, theological debates, and even rabbinic recipes reveal themselves in the twists and turns of the dialectic.
No prior Talmud experience or Hebrew knowledge is necessary, however we will build our study skills as we learn key phrases and structures that will help us unlock the Talmudic argument.
