Rabbi Esther Reed is the Associate Director for Jewish Campus Life at Rutgers University Hillel. She attended Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, graduating cum laude with a degree in Judaic Studies.
She received both rabbinic ordination and a master’s degree in Jewish women’s studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2001. While at JTS, Rabbi Reed was a recipient of the prestigious Wexner Graduate Fellowship.
In December 2007 she received the coveted Hillel International Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence Award, the highest honor for a Hillel professional. She currently serves on the Middlesex County Human Relations Commission and the Executive Council of the New Jersey Rabbinical Assembly.
