Join us for our next Lunch & Learn with Rabbi Miller, where he will host author, Jeffrey Markowitz as he discusses his book, The Other. A lock tender is responsible for the safe passage of barges carrying anthracite from Pennsylvania to New York but the tender faces threats of violence as peace is shattered when a Nazi youth camp opens on the banks of the canal. The lock tender must now take action to protect his family, even if that action threatens his very soul. A moving tale of a man who does everything in his power to stand up to hate.
What would you do to protect your family when the Nazis come to town?
