For this year’s Talmud Class, we’ll delve deeply into the concept of tzedakah, which we might translate as “charity,” “righteous giving,” or even “redemptive almsgiving.” Sometimes cryptic, sometimes infuriating, often eye-opening, the Babylonian Talmud is a significant part of our history, and its pages give us much to learn and talk about!
