This powerful and fear inspiring prayer is one of the bedrock prayers of the High Holy Day liturgy and we know it’s words by rote, “who shall live and who shall die? Who will see ripe old age and who shall not?” But after two years of a pandemic, and as we are now talking more regularly about Monkey Pox and Polio, do we really still believe the theology behind it? Join us as we seek to reinterpret this prayer for a new generation. Followed by the Selichot Service in the sanctuary.
