The Book of Job with Rabbi Lotenberg

Wednesday, May 21, 2025
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Every other Wednesday at 6:30pm, we will wrestle with one of the most awe-inspiring, sarcastic, poetically stunning, and theologically challenging books in the Bible: Job. Job raises many of the questions that haunt us to this day, including: how God relates to humanity, whether there is such a thing as divine justice, compassion or indifference (both Godly and human) in light of suffering, what it is to be a good person, and the human relationship with the natural world. Perhaps these questions feel more present than ever, perhaps they’ve always felt pressing, or maybe you just want to study some excellent poetry – in any case, please join us in-person or on Zoom.
